NOAKHALI: Three persons including the Officer-in-Charge of Sonaimuri Thana of the district were injured as an accused pushed them and tried to flee on Friday noon.

The injured are-- Officer-in-Charge of Sonaimuri Thana Abdus Samad, constable Babul and the accused himself Nazrul Islam (30), son of Abul Kashem from Sonapur union of the upazila.

OC Abdus Samad told banglanews, “We arrested Nazrul Islam from Amisapara Bazar area. He pushed us and tried to flee when we tried to help him to ride a CNG-run auto-rickshaw.”

At that time we including Nazrul were injured as the auto-rickshaw turned turtle, he added.

OC also said that there are nine cases with the Thana against Nazrul under mugging, arms and explosives acts.
