MUNSHIGANJ: A robber was killed in a mob beating in Dalalpara area under Rampal union of the district early Saturday.

The deceased was identified as Shahabuddin 30, son of late Nazimuddin hailed from Rupganj of the district.

Police sources said that a gang of armed robbers attacked the house of local school teacher Ishak and looted valuables. They stabbed the house owner and her wife while trying to obstruct the robbers, leaving them injured critically.

Hearing their screaming, locals rushed to the spot and caught a robber and gave him a good beating.

On information, police rushed to the spot and rushed the injured robber to Munshiganj General Hospital where he succumbed.

Police, however, in a drive nabbed three robbers from the area with some cash and other valuables.

Munshiganj Sadar police station Officer-in-Charge M Shahidul Islam confirmed the matter to banglanews.
