JHENAIDHA: A school girl was killed and two others injured in a road accident at Pahati intersection of the district town on Saturday morning.

The deceased was identified as Poli Ghosh, 15, an SSC candidate, daughter of Sukumar Ghosh.

Sources said that the victim with her classmate was going to appear in test examination at around 09:00am by a rented motor bike and a Jhenaidah-bound passenger bus rammed them in the area, leaving three injured.

Later, locals rushed them Jhenaidah Sadar Hospital where duty doctor declared Poli dead.

Meanwhile, agitated locals set fire on the killer bus and blocked the road.

On information police rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control.

Jhenaidah Sadar Thana Duty Officer Firoza Kulsum confirmed the matter to banglanews.
