DHAKA: Four police personnel, including Cantonment Thana Sub-Inspector, were held from Tanti Bazar on Saturday noon for their alleged involvement in robbery in the name of recovering ‘hundi money’.

The SI—Quiyum, is an officer of plain-dressed team of Cantonment Police Station.
 
Bangshal Police Station Officer-in-Charge Abdul Kuddus Fakir said that a four-member team led by Cantonment Thana police SI conducted a drive in a residence of Tanti Bazar area.

When they left the house with a good amount of hundi money, house owner shouted calling dacoit.

Hearing the scream, locals caught them and handed over to Bangshal Thana police.

The accused police officials are being interrogated by senior police officers at the thana, OC added.
