Awami League lawmaker from Dhaka-8 constituency Haji Mohammad Salim returned home on Thursday morning after a visit to Thailand for medical treatment.

Haji Salim, a member of the Dhaka south unit Awami League’s Advisory Council, arrived in Dhaka at around 12:15pm.

His private secretary Mohiuddin Mahmud Belal confirmed the news.

He said Haji Salim reached Bangkok on April 30 as per the doctor's pre-arrangement.

"Sir has undergone his regular medical checkup there...Now his physical condition is much better," he also said.

Haji Selim urged the people to pray for his complete recovery, Mohiuddin Mahmud added.

On Saturday, the lawmaker left Dhaka for Bangkok to go through a routine checkup as advised by the physicians.
