DHAKA: State Minster for Law Advocate Quamrul Islam warns opposition saying if the opposition goes out of control BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia will be arrested.

He came up with the warning while addressing a discussion at Jatiya Press Club on Sunday.

“Law enforcers will arrest them, who are killing people in the name of hartal and movement. They will arrest Khaleda Zia if necessary,” Quamrul said.

Alleging Ziaur Rahman not a real freedom fighter he said, “Zia took part in the country’s war of independence as an Inter Service Intelligence (ISI) agent. His intention was to kill freedom fighters. National four leaders were also killed by his directions.”

About upcoming parliament election the minister said, “We are preparing ourselves for the election. It will be held in due time either BNP takes part or not.”

He also asserted that government would hold dialogue if opposition leaves violence in the name of movement.
