GAIBANDHA: District Chhatra Dal called a half-day hartal for Monday in protest against the arrest of general secretary of the central committee Habibur Rashid Habib.

Convener of district Chhatra Dal Atik Hasan Rony confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Meanwhile, district Chhatra Dal brought out a protest procession on Sunday evening.

Chhatra Dal activists of Palas Bari upazila unit brought out a procession from Rabbi Intersection of the town and vandalized three vehicles on Rangpur-Dhaka highway at Chaumatha Intersection and blasted three cocktails in the evening.

Officer-in-Charge (Investigation) of Palash Bari Thana Golam Mustafa told banglanews that hearing the sound of blast they rushed to the spot but the hartal supporters fled the scene.
