DHAKA: Awami League (AL) announced Friday the names of party candidates for the upcoming 10th parliament election.

Party’s General Secretary Syed Ashraful Islam made the announcement at AL Dhanmondi office in the evening.

While addressing the press, he said the parliamentary board has approved the list enclosing the names of the party`s final candidates.

As per the announcement, Party President Sheikh Hasina will compete for a seat in Rangpur.

Syed Ashraful requested all other parties in the country to join the upcoming polls.

On November 25, the Election Commission announced the schedule of the ensuing 10th general election.

Earlier on November 10, the ruling Awami League started selling nomination forms to aspirants for the upcoming general polls.
