DHAKA: Detective branch of Dhaka Metropolitan Police detained BNP joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi Ahmed and executive member Belal Ahmed from party’s Nayapaltan  office early Saturday.

The law enforcers raided the office and seized documents, laptops and hard disk of computers and also raided BNP chairperson’s room by breaking the lock.  

Nayapaltan office staff Arifur Rahman Tusar told banglanews that some plain dressed police entered the office using alternative way of second floor avoiding main gate at around 4:15am and picked up BNP joint secretary general and Belal Ahmed by a white colored microbus.
