Remand plea for Rizvi rejected

DHAKA: A Dhaka court rejected the 10-day remand prayer for interrogating BNP joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi Ahmed in a case filing for petrol bomb attack at Shahbagh.

Metropolitan magistrate MA Salam of the Court of Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court passed the order on Wednesday after hearing on the 10-day remand plea law enforcer’s by police.

The court also asked the law enforcers to interrogate him at jail gate if necessary and denied bail plea sought by BNP lawyers.

Earlier on November 30, police arrested Ruhul Kabir Rizvi for his alleged involvement in torching a bus which killed four people and burnt scores of others during 18-party called nationwide blockade.
