COMILLA: Law enforcers nabbed 47 people including Barura Municipality mayor and upazila Jubo Dal secretary Jasim Uddin Patoary during a secret meeting from a local hotel in the cantonment area on Wednesday afternoon.

Officer-in-Charge (Investigation) of Katwali Thana Shamsuzzaman Khan told banglanews that holding a secret meeting seemed suspicious to them and this is why they nabbed the 47 persons including the municipality mayor.

Necessary actions would be taken against them after quizzing, he added.
