DHAKA: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina issued a statement on Saturday urging Khaleda Zia to withdraw blockade as 3-day national mourning is being observed here to pay respect to demise great world leader Nelson Mandela.

Prime Minister’s Deputy Press Secretary Ashraful Alam confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Opposition BNP-led 18-party alliance enforced fresh 72-hour countrywide blockade from 6:00am Saturday to press their demands.
