Cop-BJP clash hurt 15, held 5 in Bhola

BHOLA: Around 15 people were injured in a clash between law enforcers and Bangladesh Jatiya Party (BJP) on Bhola-Barisal highway in the district on Saturday.

Local sources said that police chased the BJP activists when they blocked the road by setting fire to tires at around 10:30am. Being obstructed, they locked into a clash and police opened fire to disperse the protesters, leaving injured around 15 people.

Law enforcers, however, held five blockaders from the spot.  

Confirming the matter Bhola Sadar Thana Sub-Inspector Murad Ahmed said that the situation is under their control at this moment.
