DHAKA: Secretary General of Jatiya Party ABM Ruhul Amin Hawlader on Sunday said the resignation letters of party’s polls-time cabinet members would be be sent by post to the premier.

The leader of the party came up with the assertion in response to queries from journalists after a meeting with the party chairman HM Ershad.

He said, “We have taken the decision to post our resignation letter as prime minister did not respond to our proposal to extend election schedule.”

Earlier in the day, the party spokesperson said they would give resignation letter to prime minister by Sunday after a meeting with Oscar Fernández Taranco, UN assistant secretary general for political affairs.
