DHAKA: Ruling Awami League joint general secretary Mahbubul Alam Hanif warned that the counter actions will be taken after Victory Day against the violent activities conducted by BNP-Jamaat.

The spokesperson for the party came up with the forewarning while addressing a meeting organized by Awami League Dhaka city unit in the party office in city’s Bangabandhu Avenue on Sunday afternoon.

He said, “The opposition BNP and Jamaat are plotting to make Bangladesh as a failure state as they are spreading violence throughout the country and we should come forward to foil the wicked attempts.”

Hanif added: “They tried to kill AL leader Jahangir Kabir Nanak and Asaduzzaman Noor. We cannot stay silent on the deadly attempts as a mock spectator and the smack rear will be initiated after December 16.”  
The AL leader also said, as per direction of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, that the party would build up protest against violence across the country.

Awami League Dhaka city unit President MA Aziz presided over the meeting.
