Bagerhat BNP leader chopped dead

BAGERHAT: A leader of opposition BNP was chopped to death by miscreants at Bathbonina village under Morelganj thana of district Wednesday night.

The deceased was identified as Afzal Khan, vice-president of Baharbonia union unit BNP and son of Kazal Khan.  

Local sources said that miscreants chopped Afzal indiscriminately near to the house of local UP member, also Awami League leader while he was returning home from Fulhata bazaar at around 10am.

Later he was rushed to Sadar Hospital of the district where on-duty doctor declared him dead.

Confirming the matter, Morelganj Thana Officer-in-Charge Azizur Rahman told banglanews that miscreants might have killed him over previous feud.
