DHAKA: Jatiya Party (JP) presidium member GM Quader, also Commerce Minister of 9th Parliament, said HM Ershad was still firm on his decision of not participating in the upcoming general election.

“For this reason, he won’t accept anything done without noticing him,” he added.

He came up with the disclosure in an emergency press conference at his Uttara residence on Friday morning.

GM Quader also said: “Anything said by anyone except party’s general secretary ABM Ruhul Amin Hawlader’s and me is unacceptable as party’s Chairman Ershad is not being able to say anything directly.”

During the time, about his own ministership, Quader said, “I no longer consider myself as minister as I have submitted my resignation letter to the party’s chairman who sends that to the Prime Minister.”

“I am not taking benefits as a minister. Do not believe if anyone says I am a minister,” addressing the journalists, he added.
