BOGRA: Pickets went berserk in Shahjahapur area of the district and Jundah, Maheshpur areas of Palashbari of Gaibandha district during blockade hours on Saturday morning.

At least 15 vehicles were vandalized and four others were torched by blockaders.

Witnesses said the blockaders attacked vehicles and started to vandalize when some north Bengal-bound bus and goods-laden truck stuck in the area around 11:30am.

Later, law enforcers opened blank fire to disperse the blockaders, leaving 30 people injured including drivers, passengers, blockaders.

Officer-in-Charge of Palashbari Thana Nasir Uddin Mandol confirmed the matter to banglanews.
