BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia's surgery is going on Evercare hospital in the capital under three expert doctors from Johns Hopkins University in USA.

Khaleda Zia's personal physician Prof. Dr. A. Z. M. Zahid Hossain confirming the matter to reporters said doctors started the surgery today (October 26) at 6 pm.

Earlier, three specialist doctors from America arrived in Dhaka at 7:40 pm on Wednesday to provide treatment to Begum Zia in Dhaka.

However, 78-year-old Khaleda Zia has been suffering from arthritis, diabetes, kidney, liver and heart disease for a long time.
