Police arrested BNP standing committee member Mirza Abbas and joint secretary general Syed Moazzem Hossain Alal on Tuesday (October 31) night.

They were arrested from Shahid Bagh area under Shahjahanpur police station of the capital.

Detective Branch (DB) chief Harun-or-Rashid confirmed the matter to Banglanews.

Mirza Abbas and Alal arrested in in charge of violence and sabotage following the rally on October 28, he said, adding after arrest they were taken into DB custody.
