JOYPURHAT: Law enforcers, in separate drives, detained 15 activists of BNP and Jamaat-e-Islami from various Upazilas in the district between Wednesday midnight and early Thursday.

The identity of the detained could not be known immediately.

On duty police constable Shipon Ahmed told banglanews that five people were held from Joypurhat Sadar, four from Panchbibi, two from Kalai, four from Akkelpur Upazila.

Inspector of special branch of district police (DIO)-1 Mahfuz Hossain confirmed the matter to Banglanews.
