BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi has said the party will form human chains with the family members of victims of enforced disappearance and murder in districts across the country.

He also said they will form a human chain in front of the Jatiya Press Club in the capital at 11am. 

Speaking at a virtual press briefing on Friday (December 8), Ruhul Kabir Rizvi talked about the party’s preparation for making the program a success on Sunday (December 10).

He claimed that police have arrested more than 215 leaders and activists of the BNP across the country in the last 24 hours. 

Earlier on December 7, BNP announced that the party will form human chains across the country on 10 December, marking the Human Rights Day.

The party refrained from calling any hartal and blockade programme on Sunday marking International Human Rights Day.

The most recent 48-hour blockade, called protesting the unveiling of the polls scheduled by the Election Commission, end today at 6:00am.

The BNP had been enforcing regular countrywide blockades and hartals since October 29 to materialise their one-point demand of election under a non-partisan interim government.
