SYLHET: Chhatra Dal and Chhatra Shibir activists blasted cocktails in 15 polling centres of Zaintapur and Biswanath upazilas of the district on Saturday night.

Local sources said Shibir activists blasted cocktails at five centres of Zaintapur upazila at around 10:00pm and tried set fire to the centres.

At the same time, Chhatra Dal activists blasted cocktails at 10 polling centres of Biswanath upazila.

Confirming the matter, Officer-in-Charge of Biswanath Thana Rafiqul Hossain said they have deployed additional police forces in those centres and the situation in under control now.
