PIROJPUR: Miscreants set fire to district Awami League (AL) office in the town early Friday.

Sources said that locals noticed flame at AL office at around 3:45am and informed the fire service.

On information, a fire fighting unit rushed to the spot and doused the fire. In the meantime, the office and an adjacent mobile shop burnt partially.

AL claimed that the activists of 18- party alliance might have set fire.

Pirojpur fire service and civil defense deputy-Assistant Director Faruk Hossen Sikder said to banglanews that without investigation, he could not say anything whether it is accident or sabotage.
