JOYPURHAT: Miscreants set fire to a BNP office located at station road in Panchbibi Upazila sadar of the district early Sunday.

Police and local sources said that noticing flame at the office, night guard of the area informed local fire service office. Later, fire fighters rushed to the spot and doused the fire.

Panchbibi Thana BNP president Abdul Gafur blamed local Awami League leaders for the incident.

Confirming the matter, Officer-in-Charge of Panchbibi Thana Abu Hena Mostafa Kamal told banglanews, “None filed any complain with the thana in this connection.”
