DHAKA: The self-proclaimed Jatiya Party Chairman of Kazi Zafar Ahmed on Monday said the government cannot sustain based on a controversial election.

The senior politician of the country came up with the assertion while addressing a mass rally at city’s Suhrawardy Udyan in the afternoon.

Kazi Zafar said the 10th national poll was recognized as controversial at home and abroad. This controversy has abolished the democracy in the country, he added.

He also criticized the recent activities of the government and said the rights of press are taken away which is a threat to freedom and sovereignty.
