BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has said that if the interim government holds the upcoming national election within a reasonable timeframe, it will help the nation tackle future challenges effectively.
On Thursday (November 7), he made the remark to reporters after paying tribute at the grave of BNP founder and former President Ziaur Rahman in Sher-e-Bangla Nagar, Dhaka, in observance of the party’s "Revolution and Solidarity Day."
Mirza Fakhrul said, "The interim government has done a lot of work within just three months. We believe that if we extend our support to them, they will be able to hold elections at the right time. This will enable the nation to face the upcoming challenges."
Several BNP leaders, including Standing Committee members Mirza Abbas, Dr. Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain, Dr. A Z M Zahid Hossain, Chairperson’s Advisor Amanullah Aman, and Joint Secretary General Shahid Uddin Chowdhury Annie, along with central, metropolitan, and other affiliate members, were present during the tribute ceremony.
