DHAKA: Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Kazi Rakibuddin Ahmed expressed optimism that rests of the upazila elections would be held peacefully.
   
He came up with the hope while talking to journalists at election commission secretariat media center at Sher-e-Bnaglanagar on Thursday noon.   

Kazi Rakibuddin said that the first phase upazila election was held in free and fair and remaining upazila parisad elections also will be held in peaceful manner.

The CEC also announced the schedule of Dhamrai Upazila Parisad election where the last date of submission of nomination paper is February 25 and the election will be held on March 23.
