DHAKA: BNP Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi Ahmed on Sunday said the Election Commission (EC) of the country is playing the role “as typist of the government”.

The spokesperson for the party came up with the observation while addressing a press conference at BNP central office in city’s Naya Paltan area.

Rizvi observed that the EC is discharging its duties as per the command of the government.

He also criticized the election commission for its role in just held first phase upazila polls.

The BNP leader also said that the fascist government is responsible for murder and force disappearance of the people.

The government has to be toppled as soon as possible to save the country, he added.
