DHAKA: President M Abdul Hamid has been invited to attend the fourth summit of Heads of State and Government of Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA), scheduled to be held on May 20-21, in Shanghai, China.

The disclosure came from a press release issued by External Publicity Wing of the Foreign Ministry on Sunday.     
 
It said that Li Jun, the Chinese Ambassador in Dhaka has handed over the invitation letter from Chinese President Xi Jinping, to the State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shahriar Alam.      

Chinese Ambassador also informed the state minister about forthcoming visit of the Governor of the Yunnan Province to Bangladesh in the third week of March this year.        

The Governor will meet with the Prime Minister, the Communications Minister, State Minister for Foreign Affairs and the Foreign Secretary.
