BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia is undergoing health check-ups at a London clinic, with the process expected to be completed by next Friday.
Her personal physician, Dr. AZM Zahid Hossain, said that doctors will determine her next course of treatment based on the results of these medical reports.
Dr. Zahid, who briefed journalists on Monday outside the hospital, also said that the physicians are making necessary adjustments to her treatment plan based on various test results.
He assured the public that the medical team, which includes specialists in nephrology, hepatology, and liver transplantation, is closely monitoring her condition.
He also praised the care Khaleda Zia is receiving, highlighting her long-standing reluctance to discuss her health issues publicly, despite her suffering.
Dr. Zahid added that Khaleda Zia, who remains concerned about the welfare of the nation, expressed gratitude to the media and asked for continued prayers.
BNP leaders, including UK BNP President MA Malek and General Secretary Koysor M Ahmed, were also present during the briefing.
They provided updates on Khaleda Zia's health, with her family, including acting Chairman Tarique Rahman and his wife, Dr. Zubaida Rahman, by her side, offering her comfort during this time.
