BNP’s 31-point aims for inclusive national reform: Tarique Rahman

Acting BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman said that the party’s 31-point reform agenda is not just for the BNP but for all political parties.

He made this statement on Tuesday (January 28) while virtually addressing a divisional workshop on public engagement and structural reforms held at the Bagerhat District Council Auditorium.

Tarique said that society comprises both good and bad individuals, and the BNP seeks no association with those who tarnish its reputation. He stressed that the public is placing its trust in the BNP, and the party will not tolerate actions that undermine this trust.

He remarked, "Over the last 15 years, the country has regressed in all sectors. To liberate the people, two things must be ensured: political rights and economic rights for all classes and professions. The BNP is committed to working on these issues." He also called on party leaders and activists to strengthen their connection with the public and adhere to party discipline.

The workshop was presided over by Bagerhat District BNP Convener A.T.M. Akram Hossain Talim. Prominent speakers included Dr. Mahadi Amin, BNP’s Acting Chairman's Adviser; Central Organizational Secretary Aninda Islam Amit; Research Secretary Shamimur Rahman Shamim; and former District BNP President M.A. Salam.

Over 1,000 BNP leaders and activists attended, including members from the BNP’s Women’s Wing, Jubo Dal, and Chhatra Dal. Leaders noted that the 31-point plan is expected to play a critical role in the upcoming national elections.
