MADARIPUR: Shipping Minister Shahjahan Khan on Saturday said ruling Awami League is at the top of the ladder of popularity.

The shipping minister came up with the assertion while talking to journalists at Charmugria College of the district Sadar in the morning.

Shahjahan Khan observed that AL got fewer votes in upazila parishad polls due to the rebel candidates in the party.

He added: “But if we aggregate all the votes that AL and rebel candidates got, we will see that AL got more votes.”

Later, minister joined in a rally at Kunia of the district.
