A Dhaka court set May 12 for submitting reports on arrest warrants against 53 people, including Sheikh Hasina, Sheikh Rehana, and Tulip Siddiq, in cases over alleged irregularities in acquiring plots in the RAJUK Purbachal New Town project.

Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Md Zakir Hossain Galib passed the order after police failed to submit the reports today.

The court had issued the arrest warrants on April 13 after accepting formal charges in three separate cases filed by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC). 

The cases allege misuse of power and forgery in securing 10-katha plots despite already owning properties in Dhaka under RAJUK’s jurisdiction.
