BAGERHAT: BNP called dawn-to-dusk hartal for Sunday at four upazilas of the district alleging attacks on the party’s leaders and activists, vandalizing and vote rigging in the upazilas.

The upazilas are Bagerhat Sadar, Rampal, Morelganj and Sarankhola.

District BNP president MA Salam announced the hartal in a press conference at his residence at 3:00pm Saturday.

Sadar Upazila candidate Syed Nasir Ahmed Malek backed by 19-party alliance was present at the conference.

Meanwhile, he alleged that his agents could not enter any polling center except one at Bagerhat Sadar.
