THAKURGAON: BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on Sunday said government would be forced to step down through waging of tougher movement.
Fakhrul was addressing a street rally during upalzia election campaigning at Greyahat of Sadar upazila of the district.
The BNP leader said the government manipulated the results of the upazilla election, no fair election can be held under it and the parliamentary election would have to be held under a neutral caretaker government.
The government spoiled the environment of fair polls, failed to run the state completely, our dream had not been realized due to their corruption and big companies including Hall-Mark, Destiny looted crores of money from state-run bank, he added.
Upazila Parisahd Sultanul Fredaous Namra, Sadar thana BNP general sectary Abdul Hamid, central Chhatra Dal vice president Kamal Hossain, Mamum Or Rashid, Redwanul Haque Redosha and the candidates of the 19-party alliance attended the rally.
Fakhrul will hold street rallies in 12 Unions of the upazila for the election campaigning.
