DHAKA: BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam got bail in a murder case, filed with capital’s Shahbagh Thana.

Metropolitan Session Judge M Johurul Haque passed the order after hearing on Thursday.

The court also denied bail on another case against him.

On March 16, court sent Fakhrul to jail when he surrendered before court in three cases. He is now is Kashimpur jail.

A case was filled against some BNP leaders for their alleged involvement in torching a bus hurling petrol bomb on November 28 last.

On November 30 of same year, miscreants hurled petrol bomb in a passenger bus and then another case was filed against some BNP men including Mirza Fakhrul.
