DHAKA: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina visited ailing lawmaker and Barisal City Corporation former Mayor Advocate Shawkat Hossain Hiron at Apollo Hospitals in city’s Bashundhara area on Saturday evening.              

Deputy Press Secretary of Prime Minister Ashraful Alam Khokan confirmed the matter to banglanews.

He said Prime Minister reached at the hospital around 5:45pm and stayed beside Hiron few minutes and knew the details about his treatment.             

The lawmaker was suffering from brain hemorrhage after falling on the floor at his residence on March 22 and rushed to Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital.  

On March 24, he was shifted Singapore by an air ambulance and admitted to Gleneagles Hospital. But getting no improvement he has returned to Dhaka and admitted at Apollo Hospitals.
