DHAKA: State Minister for Finance MA Mannan on Wednesday applauded value added tax (VAT) while criticized incentive for business.

“You have to accept that VAT is a King, and incentive is a dangerous game,” he said.

Mannan came up with the assertion while addressing a meeting with the delegates of International Business Forum of Bangladesh at the secretariat in the noon.

He said the government should think in declaring incentives whether what the nation would get return or not from the incentive.
