Tarique sued for defamation

PABNA: A defamation case was filed against BNP Senior Vice-Chairman Tarique Rahman over his ‘derogatory’ remarks on Bangabandhu terming him illegal prime minster.

Awami League central sub-committee assistant secretary KM Hasan Arif filed the lawsuit with Sadar thana at 12:00pm.

Sadar thana Officer-In-Charge Kazi Haniful Islam confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Haniful said: “An Izhar has been received and legal actions will be taken later.”
