DHAKA: BNP on Saturday announced to stage countrywide mass huger strike on May 4 and to hold protest processions on April 28 at the districts and upazila towns.
Party’s acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir came up with the announcement at a press conference at party’s Nayapaltan office in the capital in the noon.
The party will stage the demonstrations in protest of cases filed against its chairperson Kahleda Zia, senior vice president Tarique Zia and killing, kidnapping and attacks on the party men across the country.
