Hearing held, order later

DHAKA: The hearing on bail petitions filed by BNP Joint Secretary General Aman Ullah Aman and its Standing Committee Member Gayeshwar Chandra Roy in the killing case of a Chhatra Shibir leader was held in a Dhaka Court on Sunday.
Metropolitan Session Judge Jahurul Haque kept pending the order after hearing.

Earlier on April 23, Metropolitan Magistrate Harun-or-Rashid rejected bail plea of the two BNP leaders after the hearing on bail plea and sent them back to jail.

On April 20, the accused surrendered in Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) court and denying bail plea the court sent them to jail.

Besides, the magistrate granted bail plea of Mirza Abbas on Tk 50,000 bond in the same case.

On December 29 last year, Dakhin Khan Thana unit Shibir president Mansur Pradhania was killed in city’s Malibagh area during March for Democracy called by the then 18-party alliance.

Later, Rampura SI Al Mamun filed a case with Ramna Thana in this connection.
