DHAKA: Self-declared Jatiya Party Chairman Kazi Jafar Ahmed on Tuesday again termed HM Ershad as a national traitor.
The former prime minister also came up with the remarks while addressing a discussion tilted ‘role of young generation in existing political situation’ held at the National Press Club.
Kazi Jafar said, “I counter dismissed Ershad after he expelled me.”
He added: “India and other dominant countries fear the strong and dominate the week; Indian loosed the water flow of the Teesta River when BNP started its long march and stopped after the demonstration ended.”
With Jatiyatabadi Projonmo Dal President Rabbi Ahmed Shuvo in the chair, the function was also addressed, among others, by BNP Narayanganj district unit president Advocate Taimur Alam Khadaker.
On November 28, 2013, Jafar also called Earsahd a ‘national traitor’.
