DHAKA: BNP joint secretary general Amanullah Aman was released on bail on Wednesday, party source said.
The BNP leader walked out of Dhaka Central Jail around 2:00pm.
Earlier on Tuesday, the High Court granted 6-month bail to BNP joint secretary Amanullah Aman in a case filed with Ramna Thana for sabotage.
An HC bench of Justice Nayma Hidar and Justice Zafar Ahmed passed the orders after hearing.
Earlier Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Court rejected bail petitions to the leaders on April 20 and April 23 in the case separately while Dhaka session judge court denied bail on 27.
The Shibir leader was killed in violence during BNP-led the then 18-Party’s March for Democracy programme at Chudhurypara in Malibagh area of the city on December 29.
Rampura Thana Sub-Inspector Al Manum filed a murder case with Ramna thana in this connection making the three leaders as the prime accused.
