DHAKA: Supreme Court Lawyers Association president Barrister Mahbub Uddin Khokon said that Saturday’s grand rally will be held at the Supreme Court premises anyhow even without stage.
He came up with the determination in an instant briefing at the rally venue around 1:00am Saturday.
Khokon said that preparation has been taken to hold a grand rally, protesting abduction, forced disappearance across the country and the sensational seven-murder in Narayanganj.
But police removed the chairs and turned the electric supply off from stage, a spot account said.
Meanwhile, high officials of police said that as they did not take permission from the registrar of the court so, no rally will be allowed there.
Khokon also said that by hook or crook the rally will be held at the venue and Khaleda Zia will join the rally.
Following the matter, Ramna Zone Police Commissioner Shibli Noman said that if they get the permission of registrar then police will help them to hold the rally peacefully.
