Govt liable for Kalshi incident: Salma

DHAKA: President of Jatiya Mohila Ainjibi Samity Advocate Salma Ali on Monday categorically said the government cannot avoid its liability of the clash at Kurmitola Bihari Camp and killing 10 people by setting fire to their houses.

She came up with the observation while talking to journalists after visiting the Kurmitola Bihari Camp around 2:00pm.

Salma also said, “The main task of the government should be to find out the persons involved with the atrocious incident and ensure highest punishment to them.”

She also said, “The government never can avoid its responsibility of the incident. Whoever, be it from the ruling party or others, should be brought under the trial.”

Advocate Salma assured the victims to help legally, if necessary.

Early Saturday (June 14), 10 people, including four member of a family, were burnt to death in a clash at Kurmitola Bihari Camp in city’s Pallabi area early Saturday over blasting fireworks on the occasion of the holy Shab-e-Barat.
