SHERPUR: Agricultural Minister Matia Chowdhury asked US Ambassador Marcia Stephens Bloom Bernicat to speak logically.
She made the remark while distributing VGF goods among the destitute in Jogania Union Parishad yard in Nalitabari upazila of Sherpur on Tuesday.
Indicating the remarks of US envoy over January 5 national election, she said “we receive help, not alms. We returned every penny of the loan which we took for the project. So, you (Marcia) should talk to us rationally.”
Indicating 20-party alliance, the lawmaker said “you made disturbance during election and trying to create the same situation now. You have declared movement after Eid. We didn’t hinder the democratic movement and we won’t do it now.”
But, the government would not tolerate killings, anarchy in the name of movement, she forewarned.
Pointing to the human rights organization, the Awami League leader said they remained silent seeing the Gaza killing. But they raise their voices when International Crimes Tribunal gave verdict.
