GOPALGANJ: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s scheduled visit to Gopalganj for Saturday morning was postponed due to inclement weather.

The next date of her visit will be announced later, PM’s Press Secretary Abul Kalam Azad informed banglanews24.com.bd.

During her visit, Prime Minister Hasina was scheduled to begin her day’s programme by placing wreath at the mazar of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

The programmes include laying down foundation stone of Gopalganj 100 MW peaking power plant, inaugurating the National Service scheme and addressing a public rally.

Besides, she was to join an award giving ceremony for students who got GPA-5 in the SSC and equivalent exams and inaugurate Tungipara branch of Basic Bank at Municipality Market at Patgati bazaar in Tungipara.
