DHAKA: The ruling Awami League will stage victory rally across the country on January 5.

They also announced to hold a rally at Suhrawardy Udyan in the afternoon on the day. 

Joint general secretary of the party Mahbubul Alam Hanif made the assertion in a press conference at their political office in city’s Dhanmondi area around 5:00pm Sunday.

The party also termed the day as ‘victory day of democracy’ and they will observe the program on the occasion of first anniversary of the incumbent government.
