DHAKA: BNP on Friday claimed that India’s ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Amit Shah called confined BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia to know about her health condition on Wednesday night.

The party also repudiated the news that claimed ‘the news item on calling Khaleda by Amit Shah’.

Maruf Kamal Khan, press secretary to BNP chief, issued a press release in this regard on Friday night.

It said the BJP chief came to know about the health condition of Khaleda Zia in a direct phone call.
